Captain Stanley Carvalho
Born and raised in Negril, Captain Stanley has been fishing most of his life starting out with his father. He knows the waters off Jamaica's most westerly point better than anyone — and leads every charter with true Jamaican hospitality.
Jacques Carvalho
Stanley's son Jacques can be found most days at the helm of the Head First. He carries on the family tradition of excellent seamanship and the warm hospitality guests have come to expect from the Carvalho family.

Our flagship vessel is a beautifully maintained 46-foot Bertram Sportfisher — built for serious offshore fishing. With full fighting chairs, premium electronics, a shaded bridge deck, and an onboard head, she's as comfortable as she is capable. Rigged and ready year-round off Jamaica's most westerly point.

Target Species
Fishing is year-round with peak Marlin season in the fall and winter months. We troll mostly artificial baits and Ballyhoo, and it's also possible to chum, chunk, and spin cast around logs and weed lines for Mahi Mahi. Migrating Sperm Whales can often be seen from fall until March, while Spotted and Bottlenose Dolphins abound year-round.
